In the traditional sense, I consider myself Aromantic and Asexual, it's what I identify with openly to strangers and family. I'm open to queer platonic or non-traditional partnerships in a way but as things stand my brain doesn't align well with that as much as having company and connection soothes the monkey brain. I also often call myself Gay Aroace. Where my attraction lies is with the masculine exclusively. In an objectum way I'd consider myself polyamorous... ish.

I am not just for physical objects, but also concepts, fictional characters or stories (kind of), weather, all that and more.

Where my nonhuman attractions (specifically romantic and sexual) are:

  • Objects: plushies, weapons, clothing, old devices and contraptions of sorts, toys of differing age ranges (cough cough), puppets, dolls, gears, masks, robots
  • Natural: the ocean, space (including what's within it), storms (thunder and lightning, blizzards), fire, nighttime and the night sky, large forests and massive trees
  • Concepts: dread, fear, the unknown, uncanniness, dreams, sleep, real artificial intelligence (like the sci-fi stuff, not genAI), extra dimensions
  • Fears that I chive with in a "wow scary but hot" kinda way: deep water, very large objects and buildings (especially sculptures), heavy machinary (especially that which is pilotable or ridable)
  • Fiction: male / masculine / andro monsters and other such scary dudes, as well as a few select pathetic men. Note that with fictional characters I take a more backseat approach and am not attracted as myself, instead as a general concept, instead enjoying them partnered with someone else

There is more to it then that and I can appreciate other objects potential attractiveness even if that aren't really my type, as well as platonic and protective attractions. This is what I REALLY jive with, though.

  • Why Are You Like That?

I dunno. Always have been, never was interested in human relations, never had crushes of the like, but my toys and bedroom furniture and places I'd visit? Phew. That could get the pot stirring.

  • Are You POSIC / Do You See Objects As Sentient?

I personally do not. However I imprint upon them more personalizing details as I please or see fit to. It's slightly more complicated then "object, so completely devoid of everything ever", but also not really. I love the idea of putting energy into objects, concepts and things of all varieties, in that way I can say with confidence that objects can love someone back. Though, when it comes down to it I in no way believe the objects around me or of my attraction can think thoughts, feel feelings or behave à la Toy Story. This is different person to person.

  • Any Object Partners?

Hmmm, yes and no. While I accept I'm Objectum and don't feel self shame about it now, this is a more recent developement. I've explored it in some ways, in others I have not. Most specifically I've not explored calling any objects in particular my partner in anyway. I have, however, acted that way so to speak. Especially one object in particular I am with and affectionate towards daily. It's something I'd like to play with more as I'm in a far better place emotionally and physically then I have been since I stopped feeling so shameful of myself over it.

  • Polyamorous-ish?

Basically, it's hard to say it's poly in my mind because I am not of the belief of objects having souls / sentience. To cheat on an object partner is a non-issue and impossible. Having multiple objects of affection (literally) is kinda... yeah. You can do it if you wish, there isn't the complexities of polyamory and communication to deal with. Of course, others will see this differently. But I also don't go around exploring to crazy lengths outside of my main object. Play around a bit for sure, but not to the level you'd say you have multiple serious partners. I guess I would be doing the equivalent of an open relationship if you were to treat it with human-human relationship standards.
