Materials:

• Everything for the base
• Teeth fabric
• Mouth fabric
• "Stem" fabric
• "Dirt" fabric
• Expanding foam
• Old jacket
• Fleece for leaves

Things to do:

• Build the base
• Line mouth
• Make teeth
• Attach teeth to jaws
• Finalize jaw attachment
  • elastic bands
  • elastic string (sewn into mouth lining for better hold and less slipping
• Paint and add detail to "stem" fabric
• Attach stem fabric to pod
• Cut holes in pot and "dirt" foam block
  • put foam around holes for comfort
• Attach "dirt" fabric to "dirt" foam block
• Make papier mache shell
  • cover pod in plastic wrap to protect the foam
• Paint shell
• Use contact cement (?) to attach shell to foam
  • I ended up using mounting tape
• Attach stem to "dirt"
• Detail the pot
  • make fabric leaves
  • add "stems" and other "growths"

JACKET

• Purchase raggedy jacket, or otherwise make one ragged
• Make a mold out of your RIGHT ARM - Defunct
  • plastic wrap + tape method
  • close off "shoulder" end of arm
  • make sure arm is in correct bent position
• Cast expanding foam in arm mold - defunct
• Fill a gardening glove with foam scraps or stuffing or something and attach it to the false arm
• Position false arm in jacket
• Cut a hole in the jacket for the REAL right arm
• Figure out how the hell the pot is gonna "float" ???

ARM MAKING

• Measure from SHOULDER to ELBOW
• Measure from ELBOW to KNUCKLES
• Measure circumference of WRIST, UNDER ELBOW, and ABOVE ELBOW
  • Make sure it's your NON DOMINANT ARM
• Measure out onto foam, cut foam
  • TWO PIECES!
• Glue pieces together
• Carve foam (doesn't need to be too detailed)
• Fit arm inside of jacket sleeve

FIXES

• glue the loose tooth back in
• fix any sewing errors
• redo the damn top half of papier mache that the dog LITERALLY ate

AMENDMENTS

• I think I'll just use leftover upholstery foam for the false arm lol

CRUNCH LIST:

• finish painting shell, make it a little dirtier/bloodier
• Cut hole in jacket, rough it up, etc...
• Make and attach leaves
• Fix dirt to pot
• Make false arm out of foam
• Make false hand, too
• Add some weight distribution; add a buckle strap or something
• Add details elsewhere, make sure it looks nice
