- Psychology of driving- notice how people tend to say "that car" instead of "that person" as in "what the hell is that car doing?" The free will goes to the car, instead of remembering there's a person inside (at least some of the time.)
- How does reading exist in deaf peoples' brains? It can't exist as sound. Is it images? What would an image be like for the word "and" or "if" ? Furthermore, we learn to read by sounding out words, and relating the SOUND to an object or concept. How do deaf people learn these words? Do they have to learn to read a whole word at a time, instead of knowing combinations of letters as parts of words before knowing whole words (the way hearing people do) ?
- Exactly how much does handed-ness influence your thoughts/actions? e.g., does writing left-handed promote creative thought? Does writing with your non-dominant hand alter your thought processes? (this is more something for me to read about than to ponder, I'm sure there's been work done on this.)
- Does writing in different pen colors change anything in learning? How about in visual vs. non-visual learners?
- How do children (/people) of various religions and DEGREES of religion (degrees as in intensity, not as in school) score on stress tests? What is their brain activity/thought process while reading upsetting newspaper articles?
- How about people with different degrees of "political intensity" (how strongly they feel towards one party/issue, another, or not at all)? Same questions for how the aforementioned groups rate themselves on "happiness tests".
- This one's from Kenny, I think: What causes altruism? Is it selfless, or selfish?
- dichotic listening- maybe it's not selection, but UN-selection? When you're not told to focus explicitly on one stream, you can hear and get meaning from both. It is not until you are told to choose one that you UNSELECT the other, and forget the info. Perhaps first you attain it all, and then when asked to focus on one stream, you discard irrelevant info.
- (this is basically late selection theory.)
