i'm a bit late writing this as of january 8th, but all of january feels like new year's day to me. let's go.
- deen
- my iman is really one of my biggest personal projects. can i even call it that. i hope to plant a seed of love and admiration for my religion in my heart, and my mission is to keep watering it. prioritize my prayers. purify my intentions. attend islamic lectures weekly. connect with muslim sisters. memorize the Qur'an regularly. dua. tahajjud prayer. all of this needs to find a place in my 2020.
- physical health
- i hope for 2020 to become the year i finally start to fight obesity and ultimately make wiser choices for my health. better food choices. taking walks. loudly saying "no" to myself when i'm about to binge.
- mental health
- not sure if i can actively work on my crippling anxiety, but this point is somehow also connected to resolution #1 & #2. focusing on the deen calms my mind, moving my body releases the stress. meditating every morning. affirmations. reminding myself everyday that i am so worth it. setting my intention for the day. try to get out of my comfort zone from time to time. be courageous. show my true colors. love my inner child.

- this year i definitely want to do more. socialise at least once a week outside of school, do more on the weekends, visit new places, try more "no budget" activities. go outside. spend less time online.
