must watches

  • Skip Beat! (2008)
    • admittedly, I'm not the greatest fan of comedy, but this got me laughing to my FEET. it was a memorable anime packed with themes of romance and achieving your dreams, and it was an interesting exploration in the life of an actor/actress and what it takes to see the people you see on the screen today
  • Re:Zero (2019)
    • got me to tears. i love the characters and the plot and the everything?? although there are some gaps in the story, it has my forgiveness because of the story's charm. it really is high up in my favorites and I wish this series would continue
  • Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School (2016)
  • Mulan (1998)
    • I grew up in a household that was the epitome of gender roles and stereotypes, and whenever I did something that doesn't confide in the gender I am, I got lectured to be more manly. the themes presented in this film was an abstract idea to me at the time; it ended up being an introduction to the ills of society at a very young age, and i believe it plays an active role in who i am today. mulan is always going to be in my heart <33
  • Inside Out (2015)
    • I thought it was childish when I watched the trailer, but when I watched the movie it had such rich, mature themes as it tackles Depression and loss in such a creative manner. albeit loopholes might appear at some points in the story (ex: why didn't they just send the core memories up the tube instead of bringing them????), it doesn't matter. i love how joy, the epitome of happiness, realizes the importance of sadness in our lives and I especially ADORE the conclusion. after a huge battle with deppression, i finally found tranquility with my soul, and a big part of that was thanks to this film.
  • Spirited Away (2001)
