- July
- 1st: Chill morning. Journalling. 4 hours on a boat in the loch surrounded by mountains, seals and highland cows. Lost in daydreams. In bed early watching the Wimbledon catch up.
- 2nd: Journalling. Visiting the hydroelectric plant with Dad + Brooke. The serene darkness inside the mountain. Completely exhausted. Having to cancel plans because of the sh*tty weather.
- 3rd: Journalling. Steam train journey over the Glenfinnan viaduct. Fresh salmon + Harry Potter shops. Really freaking rainy. Reading It in the bath before bed.
- 4th: Highland cow farm. Summer fruit sundae. Walking to the corner shop in the rain. Doing sudoku puzzles + buying way-too-expensive Noah Kahan tickets. Beautiful little ghost barn owl.
- 5th: Labour landslide. Visiting a cool museum with fossils, rocks + gemstones. Buying some new crystals (malachite, charoite + ruby). Lovely meal - beetroot salad, grilled halloumi + mixed berry cranachan. Spending hours reading + finishing Panic.
- 6th: Sunny final morning in Port Appin. Another drive through the mountains. Lunch at a pub on Loch Ness. Running about on the rock + sand beach. Reading The Bastard of Istanbul.
- 7th: Sleeping in for the first time in a while. Lunch at a lovely farm shop in the middle of nowhere. Reading + finishing Light Skin Gone to Waste. Evening walk on the beach - saw two seals. Watching Orphan Black before bed.
- 8th: Feeling sleepy. Reading this super cute book Gay the Pray Away. Visiting John O'Groats, drinking whiskey coffee + playing on the beach. Standing on the clifftop at Dunnett Head. Watching a lot of Orphan Black.
- 9th: Early morning beach walk - so sunny, finally!. Picnic lunch on the beach. Taking my new paddle board out on the sea. Sudoku puzzles listening to Mark Narrations. Making my own lemonade + eating tomato pasta, aubergine, olives + churros at the most chaotic Maltese restaurant.
- 10th: Super rainy again. Lunch at the farm shop. Finishing Gay the Pray Away. Talking to Dad about my website + coursework stuff. Journalling about religion + watching Orphan Black.
- 11th: Sleeping in. This is so cringe I can't even.... Looks like I have a new work project, which is exciting. Beach walk through dunes, over tracks + around a river. Veggie haggis meal.
- 15th: Another cold + rainy day. Back at work (from home because of M25 closure). My own project. Seeing my beautiful cats again + giving them all the love. Being home already kind of sucks.

- 21st: Such a bright, sunny day. Enjoying the freedom of a work day without Zuidbroek. Gail's in the park, listening to Gretta Ray's podcast. Restless and ready for the weekend. Reading The Turtle Boy until late.
- 22nd: Organising my life on Listography. Regency Week in town - coffee in the park with Mum. cut! by Maren Morris + Julia Michaels. Sunny afternoon with the cats. Finished The Turtle Boy.
- 23rd: Spent most of the day outside. Lots of reading. Inflating my new paddleboard. Yoga + lifting exercises. First barbecue (ish) of the summer.
- 24th: Up at 5:30. Spent the day training on Synchro with Joseph. So, apparently Toby's engaged. Coming home to delicious rose harissa halloumi salad made by Brooklyn. Really loving reading Panic.
- 25th: Not much going on at work. Sitting in the grass in the park at lunchtime enjoying the sun. Freezing air-con in the office. Getting new swimwear which I like a lot. Feeling generally resentful right now.
- 26th: Super warm day. Minimal work on London Collegiate School. Sushi + lychee lemonade in the park. Coming out at work for the first time, which was scary + exciting. Tired evening watching old X-Factor on YouTube.
- 27th: Pretty chill day working from home. Learning about fire doors *yay*. Lunch with Mum at Costa. Attic. Soooo excited by all this Halsey pre-release stuff for the new album!.
- 28th: Saying goodbye to Bramble + Lilium before work. Kinda intense day trying to help get the NLCS report out. That feeling of leaving the office + knowing I don't have to go back for two weeks!. Posting my vote. Watching X-Factor + packing clothes for Scotland.
- 29th: Drove for like 12 hours!!. The D-Day parade (aka getting stuck in stand-still traffic). Stopping at Gretna Green in the sunshine. Awestruck by the majesty of the highland landscape. Being greeted by the rhea when we arrived.
- 30th: Getting Pride tickets (my first ever). Butternut soup, nut roast + raspberry cranachan meal overlooking the loch + mountains. Jellyfish on the beach. Reading Panic for most of the afternoon. Beautiful view of mountains over the loch.
