Our Mastodon account is set to require follower approval. This is our more personal account, where we tend to be less filtered.

Most of our posts are private or unlisted, with some public posts either for activism or to share our hobbies.

On Mastodon, we will accept if:

• We followed you first (wouldn't be fair to follow you, and then not let you return the favor!)
• We're existing mutuals on other social media.
• We told you directly about this account.

On Mastodon, we MIGHT accept if:

• You share common intersts.
• We have common friends.
• I mentioned this account in a non-private Discord server.

We will block you on either account if:

• You're under 18.
• You have a track record of toxic or abusive behavior, especially if you're a child abuser or a bigot (transphobia, ableism, racism, sexism, plurophobia, etc.)
• We already rejected your follow request once, and you try to follow again.

If we decline your follow request, please just accept that not everyone likes you, and move on. There are many other fish in the seas.

Most of our Mastodon posts automatically self-destruct after 1 month each. Our Sharkey posts do not self-destruct.
