- INGREDIENTS
- rice (1 cup)
- can be white short grain, white long grain, brown rice, cauliflower rice
- eggs (2)
- scallions (2)
- garlic (3 cloves)
- protein of your choice (chicken, tofu, tuna, turkey) - also optional
- soy sauce (200ml)
- honey (2 tbsp)
- oyster sauce (1 tbsp)
- salt / pepper
- METHOD
- prepare your rice! tastes best if rice has cooled down entirely after cooking
- finely dice your garlic cloves
- chop up your scallions, save the green parts for garnish
- chop up your protein in smallish chunks
- start by heating up the frying pan / wok and coating will oil
- slowly fry your garlic and scallions
- add protein
- meanwhile, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce and honey together in a small dish
- once meat (if used) is cooked through push all contents of the pan to one side
- crack 2 eggs straight into the pan and whisk them quickly to make scrambled eggs
- once egg is cooked, add cooked rice to the pan
- add the sauce
- mix until rice is completely coated in sauce
- serve up and garnish with leftover scallions
