- pet monkeys were my thing. i really really really wished that i had one. dreams crushed when i was shown the realistic ~dangerous~ side of having a pet monkey. they bite.
- all my pocket money was spent on the famous five book series. i used to spend hours in my room reading them all back to back.
- after a short trip to cornwall, i decided my favorite animals were sheep. after seeing illegally butchered dead sheep on television, i became a vegetarian (and stuck to it)
- in cornwall we visited this place called the big sheep, which was a large sheep farm. my second favorite teddy toffee was brought there. also vaguely remember my mum and nan laughing at me since i kept having conversations with the sheep
- tracy beaker was my biggest idol and fave tv show
- i wanted to be a vet or a zoologist
- my life rotated around animals- activism, puppies, sheep. i think it still does...
- girls aloud were the best thing ever to my baby ears. i saw them twice in under a year (and my drunk mum even got their autographs for me) but if it's any consolation, my favorite band was green day!
- i loved converse
- my parents divorced when i was 9. i was caught up on it for one night, then i realized less fighting and double christmas.
- always wanted new pets even though i could barely care for my hamsters
- most of my school friends were in cliques and groups so i found myself jumping round them all. something i've carried throughout school i suppose.
- my baby sitter was veronica and she did not like children. she was the human embodiment of fear.
- my second baby sitter was natalie, who would often turn up with her boyfriend. she distracted us with pizza and monopoly when she could, i know my mum would have had us balling if we misbehaved.
- harry potter became an obsession once i turned 9? 10? either way, i lived and breathed potter. i remember finding out about the universal hp when it was at its beginning of getting built, and literally crying.
- i had a strong distaste for shopping- i just wanted to read.
- always v shy with new people (this kind of left me during high school)
- i used to play runescape (something like robz2oo6??) and got to around level 50, until they blocked me for hacking people.
- NEOPETS
- i went to orlando for ten days when i was 5 and i remember it like it was last year.
- i consistently brought lollies after lollies. my mum kept chucking them since i'd only have about a quarter of it then leave it in the fridge.
- my first roller coaster with a hoop and i was hooked
- i was fascinated with the idea that alligators could get into our pool
- i spent so much time in the pool and got insanely burnt
- remember having a huge stack of pancakes and being shocked at the size
- we purchased a few alligator heads to take back home. sometime over the year i think my mum chucked them out.
- i played shop all the time. i had an orange cash register and used all the books and items in my room to shop with.
- i used to systematically sort out my room through my head. I'd start from one corner of the room and slowly go through it thinking how I would change it depending on the style i felt like at the time.
- I did the same with my classmates. in my head, i'd list all the things i didn't like about them and imagine myself telling them about it. i'd also imagine how their rooms would look in general and how they would decorate my room.
- whenever i argued with my mum (often) i would pack up lots of my stuff and refuse to touch anything she brought.
- i would sit on my bed and cry/scream my heart out
- once i got so bad with the packing she got upset and let me sleep in her bed
- when my mum went away, my dad got us a trampoline. i went on it so much over the weekend, in the sun, that come monday i felt too ill for school.
- another tie my mum just went out in the evening, i remember my dad sneakily showing me scary movie. i was eating an apple and felt a little ill during the exorcist pissing scene.
