• my lifelong love of lambs- they are cute and not to be cooked
  • the guilt that comes from consuming meat. my body doesn't require it, i get no joy from eating it.. there is no point
  • it is a healthy thing to be, i'd probably be like double my weight
  • there are alternatives to eating meat so why not use them?
  • found so many different foods and meals i would have otherwise never tried... just having vegan friends shows me new stuff like almond milk and olive tofu??
  • i've been one for over half my lifetime now may as well stick to it
  • i became one at first because my mum bet i couldn't do it... my grandad put money on when i would first eat meat again... basically it's not gonna happen if people bet on me. i will not eat that shit.
  • there is no way of tracking down how all the food you eat has been produced. that counts for any kind of produce, but when it comes to animal rearing and treatment there is no guarantee. i'm not gonna blindly accuse every animal farm of mistreating animals, but conditions can be harsh and lives cut short. am i honestly expected to believe they can ethically rear hundreds of millions of animals every year for my overpopulated and apparently often overweight country? hell no
    • people are exploited in the meat industry too (although i know less about it - it happens)
  • i certainly don't expect other people to become vegetarians. i think it's something to be aware about, but ideally it's up to them to decide what they wanna eat. what should really be reviewed is the laws within the meat industry.
  • things to think about
    • becoming vegan. (maybe just when i'm at home, vegetarian out?)
    • what alcohol is actually vegetarian
    • can or should vegetarians eat insects?
