• Jess and Ellen at our first Imagine Dragons gig when we all turned up 5 hours early.
  • Shaun on the last bus from Lewes - he turned 30 that day, and was kinda appalled at himself for being 30 abd single. He talked about Amex Football and how he got away with buying a kids season ticket still. He swore he was more sober than his friends let off.
  • Sweet Canadian lady on the train with her sleeping child. They had just visited London to see some old Canadian friends visiting, and they were teasing her for speaking truly English. She said most kids in Canada moved out at 18.
  • The old gorilla enthusiast at London ZSL. He visited them weekly. Apparently a gorilla will remember a bond for the rest of it's life.
  • Chilled guy in Florida that got us 200 Marlboros when he found out we'd smoked all ours. Stayed up till 6AM talking about anything and everything, and we never learnt his name.
  • A security guard at the Top Of The Rock, making the freezing experience more worthwhile. He found me a sweet little spot to stay warm, said I have a real 'punk rock' look, and had a similar take on Paris as me (never heard it before!)
  • Old guy giving me drinking tips at The Hope.
  • Jimmy from Trash and Vaud, giving me a free patch and lighters once we started talking about Britain and the lack of punk shops. He toured with Iggy Pop and was smoking a joint at the front of the store.
  • Runescape guys at Comic Con, whom I probably offended with my lack of 'Scape knowledge and a blatent lack of remorse over my hacking many years ago. They threw free stuff at us, we all tweeted together, and they posted a Vine of Ellie and I playing with swords...
  • Making our family of strangers in Kefalonia - Anna and Helen, who are musicians and living all over. We went on a few day trips with them. Then Chantelle and Kaela, who we grabbed dinner with and played round the pool. The Pattersons, with our karaoke evening and shy flirting. And near the beginning of the holiday we met an older couple whos son filmed Big Brother.
  • Alana at our Frank Iero gig, going with her to meet him then seeing her off in the taxi.
    • and Zak, Dylans friend, who asked for my number ha ha ha
  • Juliano from Milan, on the way to Rome (and again at the airport the way back). Very funny and good looking guy, but he scratched his nose all the time, and was an 'ex-addict'
  • Our waiter Emmanuelle outside the Colosseum, whom then added us on Facebook. He was so sweet getting me ciggarettes and messaging us afterwards. The manager was funny too, telling us he would give us an area should we come back the next day.
  • The guy in Niagara that gave us a lift without even hesitating (next day he was visiting Cuba!!)
  • Scottish lady (Hannah I think) who helped me out a little with trains when I got to Toronto airport. Then we sat together and talked about weather for twenty five minutes... Not even awkwardly
  • Two French girls studying in Berlin and their friend Denny. Arrived to Niagara together, departed, and spoke them to a little on the way back.
  • Retired texas couple on the Hornblower cruise - she loooved travelling and happily encouraged me to keep doing what I'm doing.
  • Also two other ladies I was laughing with since we couldn't see shit through the water.
  • Canadian train
    • Jeffrey - slightly crazy, very spiritual, and also very kind with his words. Our conversation got deep real quick, but it was interesting to hear his philosophy. He was absolutely brimming with words and intelligence and some of the fiercest passion I'll see in my life.
    • Trisha who made me cry with laughter.. she had so many hash chocolates which helped me sleep, and was always fun to speak with. She also accidently fed an elderly and bewildered lady on the train the wax of a Baby Bell.
    • Gary, who shocked me the most with all the excitings things he's done and places he's been. He invited me for brunch first, later pizza, and he got us some eggnog. I helped him get a bag for his girlfriend in Thailand, and he kept asking me whether I wanted this or that. Slightly odd man but incredibly kind - by the end of the journey I'd inherited tea bags, popcorn, cleaning wipes, and an unopened bottle of maple syrup.
    • Dave the stoner who gave me their number if I wanna rent their apartment in Jamaica, $1000 a month. He had wax and let me try a few, and kept offering cigarettes too. Unmissable with his socks and sandals, and scratchy voice, but has a hilarious sense of humour.
    • French guy sitting behind me in his white leather jacket. Always flashed a smile my way, and when I told him I ran out of smokes he didn't even hesitate and giving me a brand new pack.
    • Innocent who we met whilst smoking a joint. He wanted my email so he could meet up with me once he's in Vancouver, in the midst of his open mic tour.
