• Made an Italian friend on the plane. We spoke about travel, drugs, and fashion (the important stuff)
• Taxi driver didn't use the steering wheel (?) and the car kept drifting in the middle of the lanes
• Hotel in an apartment complex with a small green garden tucked in the middle
• Smoking in the private taxi
• Ate mushroom pasta in the recommended restaurant down the road. The door guy was super kind.
• Our waiter kept calling us hot sexy ladies...
• First Colosseum tour guide was a little bit racist, a little bit sexist, but aside from that really funny
• Disaronno is €10!!!!!
• Cars and drivers don't care about people in Rome
• Trevi Fountain, and pretty much every other ruin or attraction, has scaffolding keeping it together
• Got scammed by a Roman gladiator who borderline forced us to take photos with him, then demanded 10 fuckin' euros (I could have another bottle of Disaronno for that?)
• Wild cat ruins
• Drinking & kicking w/ Janie in our room
• Had half a bottle of white wine each at our regular joint - Merulana
• Made friends at the expensive restaurant (bordering the Colosseum) drinking margaritas and eating olives. Met Emmanuelle, our waiter, and the old aged owner.
• Gossiped with the locals on the gay street/corner
• Smoked bud with Janie, her Egyptian friend, and Mudino, my Portuguese friend. We briefly, and regrettably, made out. (he tasted of coffee)
• Boys followed us as we stumbled back to the B&B ? I kept shouting Polícia at them.
• Puked in our hotel room then Janie followed in my footsteps the next morning
• So hungover we stayed in till 2PM
• Bioparco! Asian elephants, lions, over-friendly monkeys, and a sweet lonesome giraffe.
• The zoo was inside an beautiful & large park
• Walked back through the wealthier streets with the sun beating down on our necks
• Janie had a strop at the restaurant because she was tired and didn't like her pasta...
• Spent 1hr+ at the Argentina Cat Sanctuary. Fell in love with a cat named Waterloo. Donated €40.
• Had my first soy burger! (so Italian)
• Saw Egyptian guy at a busy tourist spot
