• after his return, faustino slowly (and reluctantly) falls in love with gabriel

• apparently few (if anyone??) knows about gabriels death?? work out that situation
• work out if faustino was irritated with gabriel personality wise or jealous. may depend on age

OUTLINE

• chapter 1
  • faustino is privately assigned to look over gabriel's crime scene photos. looking over the photos, he feels sick. picture of his birthmark. (he had seen it once)
  • reminiscing on the little info he knew of gabriel and the way they often fought. faustino disliked his mischievousness + both had stronger personalities so they clashed, but found his death shocking and very sad.
  • sad but moreso trying to figure out what could have happened to him. frustrated with the hopelessness of the case. pissed that the incident seemed to be a dead end from the start.
• chapter 2
  • starts off in the middle of faustino getting gabriel alone, cornering him in the bathroom
  • believing him an impostor at first or some sick joke
  • gabriel doesnt remember who he is, faustino tries to probe at him. realizes he really doesnt remember who he is.
  • asks him to show him the birthmark. gabriel does so. faustino is visibly horrified.
  • faustino leaves, mortified. gabriel is confused.
• chapter 3
  • faustino approaches gabriel during lunch, seeing as he's taken to taking lunches by himself now. apologizes for his behavior. wants to take him to lunch as a token of the apology.
  • reluctantly, gabriel accepts. they go to a seafood place (faustino asked a coworker what he liked once before). they talk.
  • gabriel, desperate for info on who he was, asks faustino. faustino only knows basic information on him and realizes how little he actually knows about gabriel. its awkward since neither of them know gabriel well.
  • gabriel doesnt like the food. faustino finds this weird. asks what he likes. gabriel doesnt know. they both laugh a little about the absurdity of the question.
• chapter 4
  • gabriel is assigned to a job with faustino. faustino is surprised he wants to work. gabriel insists he wants to. faustino can't deny him.
  • faustino walks gabriel through the case, gabriel forgets details easily and seems kind of distracted. when asked to recall, gabriel trails off.
  • frustrated initially, faustino insists gabriel should take time off. gabriel becomes stubborn and insists he doesnt want to take a break. his job is all he has left of his identity. sympathizing for once, but still frustrated, faustino hands gabriel a notepad to track details. they gather some materials to speak with a witness.
  • faustino is speaking when he suddenly becomes irritated at gabriels appearance. he redoes his tie and buttons up his coat, lecturing him on clothing propriety/modesty.
  • gabriel asks the differences between the uniforms of officers and detectives. faustino explains the differences in colors, etc. ushers him out to meet the witness.
  • gabriel is just as messy at work the next day.
• chapter 5
  • faustino and gabriel make a good team and are assigned together more often. they're walking back from a different crime scene, going over details. gabriel stops when he spots a gelato stand.
  • faustino insists they focus on working but gabriel points out how hot the day is. its true. faustino caves.
  • faustino gets mango. gabriel gets fragola. conversation ensues. gabriel asks what their relationship used to be like
  • faustino is honest and said they didnt get along. gabriel had a lot of confidence and mischief that irritated faustino. gabriel seems a little deflated at this. faustino tries to reassure him that he wasn't a bad guy and allows it to slip that he enjoys his company very much now. gabriel beams. faustino flusters at the unconscious admission.
  • they approach the office and finish their gelato.
