- that first hit of caffeine in the morning

- smelling the back of isis's neck 
- hot showers 
- being all excercised out 
- the sound of pens on paper 
- tearing paper perfectly 
- haircuts 
- wind under my hands in the car 
- pine tree scent 
- having a scarf big enough to drape over my head and neck like a cowl 
- hot tea on a cold night 
- baking something perfectly 
- getting compliments from my sister 
- songs that make me remember a certain moment (kinda like If Only or like White Cedar or Transcendental Youth. Or All Star.) 
- falling asleep near someone you love (six days until i get to see my best friend) 
- finishing a good book 
- thunderstorms 
- heartbeats, pulse lines, the sound of cities in the way train cars roll over tracks 
- the color contrasts of summer: dark brown mud and white sidewalk, skin against grass, greens of tree and blues of sky 
- the complete muscular exhaustion after swimming (man i need to get back into martial arts, or running, or something) 
- relief - not having to do something you were worried about 
- old book feel 
- seeing book annotations 
- crunchy leaves and crunchy ice 
- fairy lights 
- sunshine feel 
- that mud-and-wind smell of late march 
- waking up and realizing it's raining 
- seeing stars (six days)(i hope - do you see stars in olympia?) 
- drinking water 
- HISTORY (esp ancient nonwestern history) 
- swingsets 
- fireplaces 
- holding hands (six fucking days) 
- lying on the floor in places you're not supposed to 
- goofing off in places you're not supposed to and feeling okay about it -like being able to be a total nerd in mr telles room and spinning around and being a dork and it's all cool, everyone there feels it too, they're your friends and they like you 
- the ocean, always, every day 
- reuniting (six days) 
- roller coasters 
- groking something 
- gifts that are so thoughtful they make you cry 
- fog (the smell and feel of california) 
- smooth rocks 
- figuring out a mystery 
- self-dependence - like learning to cook, or cleaning up, or making money. it's nice to have other people and interdependence is important but tbqh I think being able to realize that yeah, you CAN do something- that's beautiful, that's amazing 
- reading letters from the past 
- quiet time alone
