• Saccha was on their first trip away from Parcel Canyon — checking out Rat Castle on the recommendation of some off-planet friends, and attempting to find somewhere new to continue their studies/score a job — when they met Hemera, Xhaare, and Theo.
  • Short frizzy black hair, grey troll skin, bronze-blooded flush. Their glasses are bronze and on the rare occasions they bother to wear makeup they play up their blood color. They hate carrying things so they tend to buy clothes with a lot of pockets (big coats, cargo pants...) and the extent of their sewing skill is in adding even more pockets. Their personal hygiene can most generously be described as "inconsistent".
  • They have overflowing interest in yeasts and other microorganisms. They subscribe to Yeast Fancier Magazine and other enthusiast publications and mailing lists, and they maintained a collection of exotic cultures in their room on Parcel Canyon. This hobby had a way of getting grody; some jars simply shouldn't be opened ever again. They will absolutely hand you a bottle of sketchy homemade kombucha (with pulp).
  • They're also tangentially interested in plants and animals, but have had less luck with that — you can't just pop a frog in the freezer if you need a break from feeding it. Maggots have been their most successful experiment, and they like to keep a small metal tin of them in a pocket as a misguided conversation starter.
  • Saccha is interested in drugs (medicines, poisons, entheogens) of all kinds, and they vacillate wildly between being overly cautious and jumping in over their head. They had access to experimental Orchard pharmaceuticals while at school, and enjoyed picking up extra work by signing up for clinical trials. They've read more about drugs than they've actually done them: Troll Erowid makes for fun reading.
  • They're most familiar with typical Life deities such as Jane and Feferi through their Orchard connections, but they have a fascination with religious customs on different planets. They feel drawn to death-and-resurrection gods as well as the possibilities that substance use brings to magical-spiritual-religious practices.
  • Saccha is motivated by a desire to help planets become self-sufficient through unexplored means. They love finding practical uses for the weird — SCOBY fabric, designer microbiomes, domesticating toxic creatures, and the like. They think they're cool enough to be a biohacker, but their experiments have mostly resulted in yeast infections.
  • They enjoy reading and synthesizing information, working on people's bodies, and appreciating the beauty of their surroundings. The hardest part of their medic work has been bedside manner: they have plenty of empathy, but don't always say things appropriate to the situation. Their job experience has given them a modest supply of willpower and brawn. They tend to get anxious and overcompensate by planning and researching. When stressed or distracted, they tend to forget about the things that aren't immediately in front of them. They attempt to remedy this by using a pocket notebook.
