many people have said this before it isn't a very original experience and this is SO CORNY but idgaf. i'd like to express somewhere how much the souls franchise has impacted me. not only has it made me strive to be more creative with my art and lead me to meeting incredible people but it has had a profound effect on me as a whole. the themes of the games and finding hope when at one's lowest or when it seems like there's no point in going on hit me particularly hard. there have been many times in my life where i've wanted to call it quits, like my life was always going to be hardship upon hardship. but that will never be true. not for me or anyone. overcoming an obstacle in these games has always given me such a sense of fulfillment, that sounds very silly i know, but the fact a game was able to do that, to make me feel as if i could take on anything thrown my way, is genuinely incredible.... jan 3 2024 ∞
