- An Artisan is the type of soul that is continually bringing new and original ideas to life. Artisans have an active and agile imagination that drives them to explore new forms and try out novel perspectives. To other soul types, however, they might just seem "scattered" or "zany".
- The Artisan's role in life is individual creative expression. All soul types can manifest positively or negatively in any given moment, as the individual chooses. The negative expression of the Artisan essence is ARTIFICE, meaning novelty for its own sake. This is also a form of deception or self-deception; the Artisan kids himself or herself that anything “different”, no matter how weird or hideous or stupid, is important and worthwhile. The positive expression of the Artisan's nature is CREATION, in which the Artisan’s creativity is sincere, insightful and of value to others.
