    • took me so long to finally finish this but when i do decide to get into it, i finish it in one huge splurge of endless reading... 1000+ pages in 2 days! i have to say i really love this book and it's a pity it took me so long to get through it. i really love how the story of the raven king was woven in, as well as the author's old english style of writing and i even savored the long and numerous footnotes :)

    • Ehh, i really like the cover of the book and i've been eyeing this particular book for a while, but i have to say i didn't enjoy it that much. it's just too ... fruity. not a fitting word for the topic matter, but i somehow don't like zusak's writing style.
  • Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami
    • Oh Murakami. Reading the book went by in the usual flurry of excitement, suspense, and also bewilderment and surprise at the many ways Murakami has of probing into parts of the human mind that you never would've thought to probe on your own. I am so confused by the intent of the book overall though. so. confused. i just really want to barge into berkeley's english department and find a professor who has read the book to discuss with...
