• PJ Harvey , "White Chalk" (Anakin): WTF? Why does this sound like a 3rd rate Juliana Hatfield wannabe at an open mike night in Trumansburg?
  • Siouxsie, "Mantaray" (Anakin): WTF? Why is this so happy? Why is this so corny? It's like cabaret-lite, and not in a good way.
  • James Blunt, "All the Lost Souls" (Luke): My first reaction to hearing this CD was 'wow, Joni Mitchell has really gone downhill.' Then I looked and saw it was James Blunt. This sounds like Joni going places you'd never want to hear any human being go.
  • Bruce Springsteen, "Magic" (Han): Critics are shitting themselves so much over this CD stock in Serenity Incontinence Products has tripled. It sounds like... Bruce Springsteen. I was never really into him, so I'm not terribly excited.
  • Bob Dylan, "Dylan" (Yoda): It's another greatest hits collection from ole Bob! All the mega-famous songs are on here, the ones you've heard covered badly a million times by artists great and small. The songs are all good, of course, but if you like BD, you probably already have these already. They're supposedly remastered, but they don't sound terribly different to me. In pure marketing genius, it comes in 3 flavors: the barebones cheap edition, the mid-range edition and the fancy edition that has a book or something. Yippee.
  • Sea Wolf, "Leaves in the River" (Yoda): If you like slightly mopey indie rock, but with more of a beat than most mopey indie rock, this fits the bill. I like.
  • Dashboard confessional, "The Shade of Poison Trees" (Jar Jar's mom): just shoot me now. Really, do it. Make it stop.
  • Felix da Housecat, Mobius Band, Kevin Michael, Iron & Wine coming soon...
