- it hates going into reverse.
- when you finally convince it to go into reverse, it will pop out of gear if you go too fast or more than 3 feet.
- the hood release lever is missing and is just a couple of wires hanging out which catch on your shoelaces and open the hood.
- the hood release mechanism requires cleaning out every so often because it doesn't catch, meaning the hood comes unlatched while you're driving.
- the windshield wipers come on if you go over a big bump
- the windshield wipers have two speeds - blazingly fast and speed of light. However, the slower speed doesn't work unless you put it on the fast speed for 10 minutes or so and then switch it very carefully.
- the windshield wipers don't automatically go back to the off position, you have to wait until they swing all the way down and then quickly shut them off or they will shut off while in the middle of the window.
- The rear hatch doesn't stay up by itself, you have to either hold it up or balance it on your head while you load and unload the back.
- The rear hatch leaks so anything you put in the back end will get wet.
- The rear hatch window has caused the floor of the back end to rot and sag. The floor is a piece of particle board that covers the spare tire. now everything caves into the spare tire well.
- The driver's side door doesn't unlock from the outside, you have to unlock the passenger door and then lean over and unlock it from the inside
- The catalytic converter is being held on with a coat hanger, thus making the mileage really shitty (and the good mileage was about the only thing this car had going for it!)
- the wires that connect the speakers are loose someplace. The only time all 4 speakers come on at once is when you are making a sharp left-hand turn while pointed downhill. Otherwise at least one of them is staticky at all times, but it's not always the same one.
- The wire that connects the radio antenna to the stereo has a broken plug so you can't listen to the radio unless you are 2 feet from a transmitting tower.
- the driver's seatbelt doesn't retract unless you patiently sit there and slowly feed it down the slot.
- The cup holder is supposed to fold down, but it doesn't. It's useless anyway because it won't hold cups anyway; the rings are too small to hold anything except a soda can, which are too heavy to keep the spring-loaded rings together, thus your soda falls to the floor
- the heater slide is really sticky so you can really only have the heat be all the way on or all the way off.
- the rear defroster doesn't defrost all the spaces-- the one in the middle is always foggy and sometimes the one on the bottom
- the bond-o or whatever the kid who pulled the dents out of the sides used has worn away leaving rows of holes in the sides of the car that look like I was in a machine gun fight. This is sort of cool, except they're probably going to start rusting any minute now.
