- Do we have to understand the author's history/background in order to analyze, in full, a work of literature? Or any form of art?
- Is contemporary culture (literature, movies, etc.) actually less meaningful than classic culture?
- Plan, everything built on an idea vs. "Gradual and accidental accumulation," illustrated in the remodeling of the Vermont room in The Pastures of Heaven--which is better? Add: the description of New York City in The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
- Why do people actually seem much more attractive in uniform (especially work-related uniforms)? Is it the genderedness of the "working man" in a suit?
- Are RPGs, or games that have a set ending, more meaningful/artistic than recent games that don't have an end, and encourage the illusion of freedom?
- "Well, I think a man ought to see everything he can. That's experience. The more experience a man has, the better. A man ought to see everything." Really?
