- King is a skilled, descriptive writer who has a knack for emotional and perceptive realism, and this book does more than just horror in the pulpy sense, also discusses racism, homophobia, small town prejudice, fear in its many forms and what it does to people. but this book didn't need to be as long as it was, and the racist "jokes" were pretty fucking painful... i enjoyed it, especially towards the end, but there was some slogging for sure

- 전 삼성 회장의 치부를 드러낸 뉴스타파의 김경래 (전직)기자님이 쓴 기사 같은 소설...정말 압도적인 몰입감 덕분에 3일안에 책을 다 읽었다. 기자들의 끈질긴 열정과 현장의 리얼함을 옅볼수있었다. 씁쓸한 결말이 세상은 여전히 바뀌지 않았다는 것을 상기 시켜줬다.

- raw, real, poetic. cut and dry, matter of fact but somehow profound... incredibly so for a novella about drugs? addiction is personal, and the personal is political. a work of desolate introspection. similar appeal to Bret Easton Ellis and Raymond Carver.
