My current boyfriend was once known to my friends and I as "Piglet" so he and outsiders wouldn't know I liked him. I've done this throughout my life with crushes... _________________________________________________________
A crush that lasted shy of a school year. He was really shy but always managed to say "God Bless You" everytime someone would sneeze. I thought that was super sweet of him, so this became his name.
This one lasted a little over a year, into my freshman year. I don't really remember how this one came about though. I think it had to do with his French name. Anyways, years later in biology class, after the crush had subsided, we were paired together learning about DNA and I found it funny.
This one lasted a few months. I was a sophomore, he was a senior in my marketing class. He was a complete jerk to everyone, but I thought he was really cute and funny. This name came about because he has a brother who he's really close with, and a friend and I decided that they probably share a room and have matching Racecar beds.
I only liked this one for a very short few months. He was older and very handsome, but I barely knew him at all so I knew it wasn't going anywhere. But I liked to talk about how attractive he was with my friend, and we decided that he needed a code name. I conveniently had a dictionary beside me, so I found a random word, and Parenthesis was one of the first good words I pointed to. So it stuck for a little while.
Okay, Gatsby was never a crush to be honest. He was a creepy guy in my math class who had a crush on me and always texted me and stuff. Friends and I decided he was kind of a creeper, much like Jay Gatsby, soo that name stuck. He still texts me sometimes, and little does he know, his name in my phone is "Jay Gatsby".
I fell really hard for this one in only a few months. And I seem to really have gotten around in 11th Grade. People tell me I got a lot prettier my junior year, so I guess that's why? I don't know. But anyways, "Specimen" was just really attractive and sweet. So once, he was sitting next to me in the library and I was writing a note to a friend. I said in the note that I was sitting by "a very fine specimen of the male species" at the moment. Anddd, then it just became Specimen. I really liked him, and we were in finance class together and had a project that involved "marrying" someone and planning your "family's" expenses. Well, he and I were married and that was awesome. But mid-way through that summer, he got a girlfriend and I started liking someone else and the days of "Specimen" were over.
"Piglet" was a friend of a bunch of friends, who I didn't really know until that summer. We hung out a lot through one of our mutual friends, and got really close. I started liking him and it kind of overlapped with "Specimen" until "Specimen" got his girlfriend. At the time, "Piglet"s profile picture looked kind of like Piglet, so that's where the name came from. Anyway, some stuff happened and I wasn't sure if we'd end up together, but one day he asked me who "Piglet" was, and I gave him clues, and he guessed it was him, and it was, and he said he'd liked me too. And then he asked me to homecoming. And then school started and we got even closer, and he invited me to his cousin's birthday party, and I was introduced to all of his family as his girlfriend, so we kind of just became a couple. We've been dating for almost 11 months since then, and I'm super happy with us :)
Okay, Vinny wasn't a crush either. But another creeper. Kind of. I met him at Academic Challenge, and people on our team called him "Vinny" and "Guido Joe" because he was super Italian. We got each other's numbers and he was clearly into me. I told him, though, that I had a boyfriend. He seemed to be okay with the idea of me cheating on "Piglet" for him, which I wasn't, so I ended our friendship. I mean, he was attractive, sure, but a nerd, and definitely not as good as "Piglet". ___________________________________________________ So yeah. There it is. I had crushes before 7th grade, but none I thought to make code names for. I just saw the "crushes" thing on Listography, and thought I could take advantage of this. And I did. :)
