it's barely romantic outside of proton having a thing for mallory. she plays it up into a joke/uses it as a way to piss him off

also i use she/he for proton. mallory is he/any. theyre neither men nor women nor nonbinary but a secret 4th/5th sinister thing. it's not a huge priority ship for me like at all so idgaf about sharing LOL
