- ✔ develop annika as a person- try an intro q&a or some other brainstorming tool to get to know her
- backstory- kels!!!
- MAGGIE AND SID- if i'm gonna mention them, develop that as a storyline. (nik is rooting for them to work out but on some level wants them not to so her cynical theories on love can be compounded once again)
- make a map of campgrounds
- seriously have to stop thinking of who the characters look like-- they look like themselves and they don't fucking need a celebrity doppelganger
- nik's gran- deterioration, dementia/alzheimers, impermanence of life and memory as a theme
- write the midsummer's eve scene
- get my flashbacks to make more sense chronologically!!1
- divorce's effects on nik- lack of trust, introversion, doesn't reach out beyond superficial level for fear of repeating mistakes
- ccr's role in nik's life- first as a reprieve/shelter then as a home and lastly as a jumping-off point
- some kind of backstories for major supporting chars: maggie; sid; lauren; joe; josh; alex (???)
- nik's family?!!
