  • a mysterious victorian house in the countryside in the northeast with secret staircases and fields to run around in and a really kickass attic with old, lost treasures, that i could share with friends and their families so all our kids could spend the summers together having adventures.
  • a thatched cottage with window boxes full of roses on the west coast of ireland surrounded by green and sheep and wild ocean. a brisk walk into town for groceries and new wellingtons.
  • parisian apartment on the rive gauche with whitewashed walls and natural light and ballet flats every day and a wrought-iron balcony. fresh baguettes from the boulangerie chaque matin. late nights, whispered poetry and warm bodies.
  • "painted lady" house in the haight in san francisco where some famous hippie lived/died, in walking distance from amoeba music. vintage guitar collection. black and white photos on the wall.
  • petite maison on lake geneva overlooking the misty buildings of montreux and the water. open space, sunlight, balconies, a study, fresh fruit and coffee, and a weird lil bomb shelter cellar with a liquor cabinet.
  • a flat in east london with chipped gilded moldings, weird artifacts on shelves, a massive world map on one wall and a four-poster bed. endless cups of tea and a lot of tartan.
