If you're reading this that means you're feeling very insecure about yourself and that's okay. I know you probably don't believe me but you're not a bad or boring person. You're actually very lovely -- you've just forgotten. Don't worry, I've written a list of things you should like about yourself.

  • You're educated. I know you don't feel smart or intelligent, and sometimes people bring things up and you have no idea what they're talking about, but the fact remains that you finished highschool and university. That -is- an achievement. You can think critically, start debates on linguistics, psychology and gender studies. Not everybody can do that.
  • You're healthy. You eat crappy food sometimes and you can go weeks without doing weights or running, but you have your good days too. You know what to eat when you want your body to carry good nutrients, and you have the discipline to exercise regularly.
  • You've run three marathons and countless other running events. Running takes a lot of discipline and determination. Not many people can say they've finished the Sydney Marathon. Not many people can say they've run 42km non-stop. It's something to be proud of.
  • You're mildly cultured. Okay, so every so often you'll meet someone who has seen a whole list of movies that you've never even heard of, but don't let that deceive you. You've seen a lot more movies than the average person. You may not listen to a lot of music, but you've heard a lot of music by different artists throughout your life.
  • You're not a bad person. I know you think you are a lot of the time, and all you do is feel guilty, but I promise you, you're not a bad person at heart. You never wish ill on anyone else and you always want the people you love to be happy. You're not a burden. Your sadness and your insecurities do not make you a bad person. You can't be a bad person - I know, because you want to be a good person.
