• Slow progress is still progress. Any progress at all is something you should be proud of.
  • Being okay is an accomplishment. Being alive is an accomplishment.
  • Because your improvement has been so gradual, you might not notice how far you've come. Compare how you feel now to how you felt two months ago.
  • How sad you are is directly proportional to how traumatic and injuring the experience was. The experience was incredibly distressing and it is normal to still be sad for a long time.
  • Concentrate on the positive and optimistic thoughts and dismiss all negative thoughts. Focus on what you've learned from the experience and how it has made you a stronger person.
  • There isn't just one person out there who would work well with you in a romantic relationship. There are many, many people whom you'd be able to make a working relationship with.
  • Take the good out of a bad experience. If there is no silver lining, make your own.
  • You will be loved.
