- durarara!! (2010) -- in tokyo's downtown district of ikebukuro, amidst many strange rumors and warnings of anonymous gangs and dangerous occupants, one urban legend stands out above the rest—the existence of a headless "black rider" who is said to be seen driving a jet-black motorcycle through the city streets. mikado ryuugamine has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to tokyo. witnessing the black rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. but as supernatural events begin to occur, ordinary citizens like himself, along with ikebukuro's most colorful inhabitants, are mixed up in the commotion breaking out in their city.

- gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun (2014) -- chiyo sakura is a cheerful high school girl who has fallen head over heels for the oblivious umetarou nozaki. much to chiyo's confusion, when she confesses to her beloved nozaki, he hands her an unfamiliar autograph. as it turns out, the stoic teenage boy is actually a respected shoujo mangaka, publishing under the pen name sakiko yumeno! a series of misunderstandings leads to chiyo becoming one of nozaki's manga assistants.
- given (2019) -- somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal... that was until ritsuka uenoyama randomly met mafuyu sato. ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears mafuyu sing for the first time. the song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
- haikyuu (2014) -- inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. unfortunately the team is matched up against the "king of the court" tobio kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. after the crushing defeat, hinata vows to surpass kageyama after entering high school, hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that tobio has also joined.

- yuri!! on ice (2016) -- yuri katsuki carried the hope of all japan on his shoulders in the figure skating grand prix, but suffered a crushing defeat in the finals. he returned to his hometown in kyushu and hid away in his family's home, half wanting to continue skating and half wanting to retire. that was when the five-time consecutive world champion, viktor nikiforov, suddenly showed up with his teammate, yuri plisetsky, a young skater starting to surpass his seniors. and so the two yuris and the russian champion viktor set out to compete in a grand prix like none the world has ever seen!
