- i discovered seventeen in august 2014 when i saw a post on google+ (ya i know) saying "omg seventeen is FINALLY going to debut!" with a picture of the biggest band ive ever seen and i was like tf
- so i went on youtube (my most reliable source of info) and typed in seventeen kpop and videos of 17tv and predebut stages came up and i was like....ok imma just check em out real quick then leave (haha we see how well THAT turned out)
- then i watched some vids and instantly fell in love bc holysht they were so funny and likeable and just straight up unique with lil woozi and american boi vernon and long haired jeonghan
- so anyway i fell in love with jeonghan and started to Invest more time into learning more abt him. consequently, i found out abt joshua bc those two were ALWAYS together istg
- ((also i started shipping jihan. go figure))
- i made a twitter account devoted to joshu and jeonghan but i dont remember the @ :((( maybe someday...
- also side note pledis either lied about svt debuting "soon" or their definition of soon is extremely lax bc it took almost another year before they actually debuted :))) but i busied myself with catching up w 17tv and stuff to really care too much
- svt debuted!!! woohoo the fandom was in shambles fr
- anyway things slowed down after that, and i got busy with stuff and yes, i dropped svt :(( i really really regret it bc i missed so many important milestones, like their very first win !!! /regret/
- so how exactly did i rekindle my lost love with svt?? the answer is.... yeah. joshua hong
- one day i was minding my own business when i was assaulted with the most beautiful thumbnail on youtube of svt aju nice comeback stage. yes the thumbnail was joshua
- anyway i fkn screamed and clicked tf out of that video and scanned the comments to make sure this really was joshua??? like holy
- anyway i wasnt alone, everyone was freaking out bc apparently in the music vid his hair was brown so whERE did this PEACH hair come from
- besides that, i was just /in awe/ by his visual, bc he looked SO different from adore u days!!! so i slowly began to check out what i missed, getting more and more shook by the second

- i still remember the video that had me completely and utterly fall for joshua hong. yall ready? its the battle likes vid. the one where jihan were guest stars and running the whole thing. yep
- it was hearing his english, believe it or not. that combined with his sweet sweet personality and fjksjjl i was actually crying, bc i never really got to hear him talk a lot predebut/post debut, he was always so quiet

- so anyway, i accepted my fate as a joshua hong stan and here i am now. crying with a twitter instead of google+ but besides that nothing much has changed
- anyway, the reason i love svt so much is that they never really left me?? its been over 3 years and im still stanning them, the longest time yet (meanwhile its been a year since i dropped bts whom i only stanned for a few months oops)
- so thats my (kinda melodramatic) story of how i became a carat. i really hope i never drop svt again, bc these boys mean so much to me <3 even if our fandom has its own share of problems which i wont dive into for the sake of staying optimistic, i'll try to focus on the group itself and hopefully they become as successful and happy as they dream, bc they deserve it :')
