• December 10, 2016: The bald eagle figurine that my mom gave me shortly before she passed away survived after a tree branch crashed through the roof of the bedroom where it sat on a shelf above the closet. It's now safely tucked away in storage here, until I can find a proper place to display it in my home.
  • December 12, 2016: The blue floral lamp my dad gave me for my birthday one year also survived, and it is currently awaiting transport to our home.
  • December 12, 2016: Since the adult size of the hedgehog t-shirt I wanted was out-of-stock, I was able to get two youth-sized t-shirts -- a hedgehog and a kitten -- for just a few dollars more. (All t-shirts were on sale: adult sizes for $11.99 and youth sizes for $8.99.) I can use them to make a t-shirt quilt and enjoy them even longer this way!
  • December 15, 2016: I was worried about how I was going to afford to buy gifts for certain family members, when they contacted me to ask if it would be okay not to exchange gifts this year, because money was tight on their side of things! Sorry to hear it, but so relieved!
  • December 15, 2016: The paycheck came earlier than expected, is ready to cash, and is enough to cover the bills and leave us a small amount to go on! After the last check, I was afraid this one wouldn't even be enough to cover the bills.
  • December 21, 2016: Gary was able to save the old apple tree beside the beige trailer by pruning the branches, rather than having to cut it all the way down.
  • December 22, 2016: Larry found one of the cabinet knobs out of the beige trailer on the ground and saved it for me!
  • December 31, 2016: New Year's Eve without either of us having a cold! Also, thankful all seems well with the Maryland farm situation, so far.
