- 1st: Nature journal theme "color." Chose Carolina Allspice shrub as topic. Spotted red fox, female wood duck, and great blue heron, to name a few, at the farm pond.
- 2nd: Cleaned camper. Nature journal theme "texture." Chose bark and leaf rubbings. Followed Case tractor from home to out on the Ridge in the blue Dodge truck today. Talked to cousin.
- 3rd: Nature journal theme "aroma." Chose to list some of the most memorable scents I could think of in nature and draw little icons to represent them.
- 4th: Nature journal theme "song." Writing bird song and frog call mnemonics and listing some of my favorite nature sounds.
- 5th: Nature journal theme "flavor." Drawing little icons of some of the most memorable wild foods from childhood and writing about them. Pd. #1
- 6th: Nature journal theme "movement." I sketched a muskrat swimming on June 4th, so I'm using that as the basis of a page about muskrats! Pd. #2 No incoming heat this morning, despite fire in outdoor wood stove.
- 7th: Nature journal theme "heart." Undecided. Learned a quick method to press flowers. Hoagies!
- 8th: Ordered nice watercolor paint set and circle maker for nature journaling. I should never have looked at the yard sale photos. The JD doll was in there. :(
- 9th: Fell in shower this morning. Sore on right side around bottom ribs. Feeling very apathetic today. Cleaned camper. Diary site refuses to let me upload photos today. No photo writing prompt, either.
- 10th: Still waiting on the writing prompt. Dodge headlight busted out. Very moody and irritable. Sad about baby bunny.
- 11th: Pond day! Crossed the creek and walked the cattle trail. Great dragonfly/damselfly photos, too! Added a nature journal page about the baby bunny.
- 12th: Took cattle to stockyard. Forgot to unload bull calf, so he came home with us for another week. Sibling dinner. Still in pain from shower fall. Standing up, sitting down, bending over, reaching up, laughing, coughing, clearing my throat...all hurts!
- 13th: Pain and soreness continues. Found a pair of stretchy, high-waisted jeans that fit. One size smaller!
- 14th: Was up on and off until around 3:30 AM this morning. Couldn't find comfortable sleeping position, and, when I did, I felt bloated with a tight feeling in my chest, making it a bit difficult to breathe. I knew I shouldn't have eaten so much yesterday. Finished "heart" nature journal entry. Added two new ones.
- 15th: Thankful for a good night's sleep. Down to one-half bottle milk replacer per sheep per day. They're doing well on hay, grass, grain, and water now.
- 16th: Morning thunderstorm with close lightning bolt and loud thunderclap that prompted phone call from son. Ordered tie-dye t-shirt. Got some groceries. Pizza.
- 17th: Homemade cinnamon rolls (gift.) Happy to see skies clearing a bit.
- 18th: Both muskrats and 2 white-tailed deer (both male) at the pond, plus a deer in the field on the way home! Anxiety increasing. Titanic submersible missing.
- 19th: Brief evening rain shower. Still feeling anxious. Why does pain seem to make anxiety worse? Paid bills.
- 20th: DZP cancelled due to payment issues.
- 21st: Matador, TX, tornado (EF3)
- 22nd: Something cozy about a homemade cinnamon roll and a hot cup of coffee!
- 23rd: Clarksburg trip in middle of cleaning camper. KFC. No craft store visit. Disappointed. Irritable. Anxiety. I was hoping this trip would be fun and relaxing, but it wasn't, and I feel almost as bad as before we started. At least I got the camper done on time -- last minute, but close enough!
- 24th: Road trip to Donegal, PA, to pick up skid steer. Yummy purple milkshake tasted like black raspberry! Half price sheep?!
- 25th: Mock orange in full bloom! One of the muskrats looks like it has an injured leg.
- 26th: Surprise pond visit! So nervous about tomorrow!
- 27th: Sheep banded (for castration purposes, not docking tails) and received 2nd CDT vaccine.
- 28th: Insomnia. Stress. Headache. Single dose of ibuprofen.
- 29th: From one county seat to the other and back again. Late lunch/supper. Ready-to-eat pizza followed by a stop at one of my favorite ice cream shops! Headache. Day #1 of pd.
- 30th: Card confusion. Paid bills. Washed dishes. Made sugar water for hummingbird feeder. Cleaned camper.
