• Mrs. B appears to be the long-term substitute, filling in until the 3rd grade teacher's return to class.
• Mrs. C, the art teacher, is also undergoing cancer treatments, thus her class is also being taught by a substitute.

• Mrs. H, the long-term sub, arrived today. She's likely to be there until, at least, March.

September

• 13th: Cass Scenic RR trip permission form and check not received by teacher in charge of the trip. Missing.
• 14th: Cass papers found.
• 15th: "Educational" phone call
• 21st: 1st 100% spelling test of the year! Since it was on a Wednesday practice test, he was excused from the Friday final test.
• 28th: First progress report (mid-term.) Raffle tickets came home. Willie forgot his reading booklet.

• 4th: No School, Youth Group at Laurel Run, Special Election for WV Gov.
• 6th: School Picture Day
• 8th: Summer Reading Rewards Trip to Cass Scenic Railroad

• 19th: First Kids Club meeting (Wednesdays)

November

December

• 12th: 4-H Meeting
• 20th: School Christmas Concerts at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Also, fundraiser orders delivered. Willie was 2nd place top seller again this year and won a $50 Walmart gift card.
• 21st: School trip to Garrett 8 Cinemas to watch Arthur Christmas. Caroling with Laurel Run Church
• 22nd: Last Day of School before Christmas break. Class Christmas party. Mrs. H's 34th birthday, too!

January

• 3rd: Snow Day
• 4th: 2-Hour Delay
• 5th: No School, due to power outage at elementary school (only)
• 12th: End of 2nd Semester, Magazine Subscription fundraiser post card booklet came home - fill out and return in the morning
• 13th: Snow Day
• 16th: No School
• 20th: Report cards, 2-hour delay, Mrs. H's last day. Mrs. U (detention teacher, currently) will be taking over for a while.
