  • i promised him when we started dating that i'd watch all the star wars movies with him. five months later, he remembered and we watched five of them within two weeks. we still have episode vi to watch.
• 2001: a space odyssey
  • right before we started dating, we watched it. that's when i realized that it wasn't just a little crush.
  • i actually fell asleep on him about halfway through. if he hadn't been in love with me already, he may have been upset, seeing how it's one of his favorite movies.
  • five or six of our friends came storming in just after he fell asleep too. we didn't hear the end of it that night.
• sweet home alabama
  • "i wanna watch a girly movie, jon! we always watch stuff with space and lasers!"
  • he liked it better than i did. (:

  • he serenaded me with the elephant love song medley for a couple days afterward.

• house
  • we cannot go a week without watching at least one episode of house. he has, i believe, the entire series on his external hard drive.

  • me: "he's... he's... he's... oh my god! he's that guy who eats brains!"

  • i don't even know. jon loves this show. if it's on, we have to be watching it.

animals:

  • it's a "mating call," of course

  • his mom likes to give it as a present. except that he doesn't like dark chocolate (!) so there's a huge stash of it in his desk.
• bluetooth
  • bluetooth keyboard. bluetooth mouse. jon loves bluetooth. he once bluetoothed a picture of a seal to my phone.
• physics
  • it used to have negative connotations in my mind since i was terrible at it in high school. now it sends me into a loving haze because it's jon's major and he's always talking about it.
• peter f. hamilton
  • okay, so when i visited jon in kenosha, he took me to barnes & noble because everyone knows i love to read. he bought me a new book (the joke by milan kundera) and decided he'd try to find something for himself too. he ended up with the reality dysfunction and loved it. he read the neutronium alchemist and the naked god soon after. he actually called me at like 1 am to tell me that he'd finished the series.
