- a good sense of humor; and not in the spitting-out-generic-jokes way, but in a genuine, unique way. he has to be able to make me laugh.
- intelligence; NOT how smart he is. I don't care if he is a straight-A student, or if he has a 4.0 GPA. I want to be able to have an intelligent conversation with him that doesn't involve one of us staring blankly at the other.
- goals/vision for the future; he has to have some sense of what he wants to do, where he's going, what he wants later on in life. If he doesn't know at the moment, that's fine, as long as he is trying to figure it out.
- accepting/understanding; he has to love me for exactly who i am, and love my flaws as much as my strengths. i want to feel comfortable and at ease with him.
- trustworthy; i want to trust that he will be loyal, keep my secrets to himself. i want to feel safe when i am with him.
