this is like the yakuza prequel movie except it came out before yakuza 0 i think (idk im barely a yakzua fan. im getting all my information from oomf.) anyway i've seen like half an hour of yakuza 0 and kiwami 1 so my exposure to yakuza is very limited but like despite how kind of shitty this movie is it's like. shitty in a fun way. LIKE I REALLY LIKE IT it's cheesy and it's poor quality but in the funnest way possible you know.

anyway this tells the story of kiryu and shit and it's probably faithful to the games idk. ive never played a yakuza game. i think nishiki is my fave probably because he's oomf's fave (hi leo) but i also really like majima and kiryu... my sillies. i haven't gotten to hear about haruka yet (i'm hearing about yakuza via my oomf) but i think i'll like her too.

im running out of things to say about this movie and it's almost over... it has like 7 minutes left and nishiki's running in a hospital hallway and i think this movie skipped a lot of important stuff that happens in the game if i had to guess. this movie is gorgeous to me btw like it's shot on a shitty camera and the settings and shots are all super ametaur but they're super super charming i really love it. kiryu's actor is probably my only complaint abt this movie because he looks WAY older than he's supposed to be bu tsupposedly he's a famous japanese pro wrestler so i guess they hired him for fighing scenes(? were there any of those) or because he's famous or something like that

ok confirmation: oomf just said this movie is probably really confusing for me without game context im not crazy!!!! i will probably watch kiwami after this OH SHIT I FORGOT KIRYU WAS IN JAIL FOR TEN YEARS. TEN YEARS IN THE JOINT MADE YOU A FUCKING PUSSY oh my god the ps2 graphics DID THEY REALLY PUT THIS AT THE END OF THE MOVIE..............
