• Be active for 30 minutes a day.
  • Get at least six hours of sleep.
  • Eat a fiber-rich breakfast everyday.
  • Be less neurotic. Do not internalize much on things or dwell too much on your troubles. Yoga, exercise, meditation, tai chi, or just deep breathing are better ways to cope with stress. Ruminating or binge eating is never the answer.
  • Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day to keep your body in the steady equilibrium that can be easily disrupted as you get on in years. Your physiology becomes frailer when you get older, and it's harder for your body to bounce back if you, say, miss a few hours of sleep one night or drink too much alcohol. This can weaken immune defenses, leaving you more susceptible to circulating flu viruses or bacterial infections.
  • Having regular social contacts with friends and loved ones.
  • Be well-organized.
  • Don't retire.
  • Floss everyday.
