- Smoky Chipotle-Cacao Kabocha Stew: adapted from recipe in Gran Cocina Latina; subs. kabocha, subs. canned crushed tomatoes, omit anise, increase cinnamon to 1/4 t, add 1/4 t coriander, subs. 1 oz baker's chocolate and 1 oz 60% chips, increase amounts of all veggies slightly, don't puree squash at end; served w/ grated cheddar and habanero jack, toasted pepitas, dehydrated sourdough, jasmine green tea, and yellow cake with chocolate frosting for dessert
