  • dark story based off accounts of companies prostituting their idols against their will or in order to advance and debut. all of bts are involved in forced prostitution under the thumb of the korean mafia, and the plot revolves around namjin's struggle to have a "normal" romantic relationship in the midst of both idol life and nonconsensual sex work. really shook me up a bit, but is worth a read as long as you examine the tags with care.

  • one of my favorite fics of all time by one of my favorite authors of all time. i remember i waited on reading this one since i thought it sounded boring, but after hearing glowing praise about it from multiple people, i started reading it and i am SO glad i did! it's a (mostly) lighthearted story where human country boy jungkook, who lives out in the woods and takes care of cabins, comes upon two swamp witches, jimin and taehyung, and ends up as their involuntary bonded servant. he's then introduced to a whole world of magic he never knew existed, down in the american deep south. there's moments of angst, especially because jungkook is pretty pissed off about the power imbalance even though vmin had good intentions, and some violent scenes, but otherwise while i was on the edge of my seat, the story wasn't too heavy and i really enjoyed vminkook's interactions. lots of intriguing plot twists, A+ smut, and incredible worldbuilding: this story has it all! i've already reread once, probably will a second time.
