ingredients:

  • 12 ounces sweet bean paste (smooth type)
  • 12 strawberries
  • 1.5 cups shiratamako (glutinous rice flour)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • potato/corn starch

directions:

  • spoon 1 oz bean paste into hand and wrap around strawberry
  • make mochi: combine shiratamako, 1 cup water, sugar and mix. cover and microwave for 3 min. mix well.
  • sprinkle tabletop with starch to avoid sticking and mix mochi before dividing into 12 pieces
  • stretch mochi to very thin (1/2 cm thick) round shape and wrap bean strawberry
