The Boys -

  • Parker Jackson: A middle-aged, openly gay man whose prowess with a guitar earned him a 20+ year music career that flew in the face of every one of his critics; due to a chronic pain condition that he refuses to take medication for, however, he has currently stepped behind the glass and is producing music for gifted younger musicians that have signed to his label. Married his high-school sweetheart turned male supermodel extraordinaire, stayed married for well over two decades, and produced two children (and one current grandchild). Unfortunately his wide-eyed idealism and iron-willed romanticism couldn't make up for his devotion to his music, thus he is currently separated pending a divorce proceedings. He has yet to return to work following this devastating turn of events.
  • Andrew Joseph (Drew) Jackson: Parker's son, mid twenties. A child of privilege and a product of fast-paced celebrity parents, Drew is a blond-haired, blue-eyed pretty boy and he knows it. Fortunately, and unlike many of his friends, he tries not to let that get in the way of his life. A recent college graduate, he's attempting to chip out a life for himself without becoming his parents but doing none too well, considering he's both performing music and modeling. Also a newlywed, having fallen for his complete opposite: a brilliant young artist with Aspergers, who was adopted and fiercely loved by a social worker (with a PhD in Abnormal Psych, but more on him later) after being discovered at the age of 12 to have been surviving for several years on his own in a condemned building. Their relationship has been rocky but rewarding, and they are currently living quietly in a beach-side California town.
  • Adrian Ford: A well-meaning but oft-misunderstood New Jersey transplant, early thirties. Adrian suffers from a bi-polar disorder and severe dyslexia, but despite his anger management issues and almost total illiteracy, his unrelenting determination earned him a career as a respected mechanic (specializing in classic and collector's cars). He has recently celebrated his 6 month anniversary of sobriety, having gotten clean after heavy amphetamine and heroine use. The transition has been difficult for him, but he has slowly been making friends and positive life changes in other areas. All is coming up roses for him at the moment.
  • Regan Matthews: A famed choreographer turned house-husband, late twenties. A former child ballet prodigy who turned his gift into not only an impressive Broadway portfolio but a respected New York dance studio. However, due to his early success, Regan suffered a typical child-star meltdown: a massive quarter-life crisis that caused him to sell his beloved studio, expensive home, and every piece of furniture he owned. Luckily, his lawyer, whom he visited three days before his planned suicide in order to draft a will leaving his every remaining possession and penny to a charity, saw the red flag and put his career on the line in order to get his favorite client the professional help he needed. They're married now, and have adopted a little girl from China, whose arrival is awaited with baited breath.
  • Crispin Bradshaw: Early twenties. Crispin is a paraplegic former professional surfer, having suffered a devastating accident during a tournament in his mother's native Australia. He now spends his days running his father's boardwalk surf supply store and watching the surfers ride the waves. Crispin takes his disability in stride, routinely joking about how much better the parking is now that he's in a wheelchair, but nonetheless does hours of grueling physical therapy daily in an effort to not only keep himself healthy, but in hopes of returning to the water someday. Laid back and down to earth with a cool, dry sense of humor, Crispin has many close friends and is easy to love.
  • Tennyson (Tens) Richards: Youngest of the Richards triplets, late twenties. Born to a single mother in a sleepy California town, Tens shed his relatively quiet upbringing by becoming a drummer in Parker Jackson's band. Tens is the goofy clown of the three, always getting the others into trouble as a child and most often always the first to get injured. After getting a fling pregnant after a cocaine-binge, Tens did his best to grow up and be a man, marrying the woman and raising their child. While he nor anyone who knows him would consider him "mature", he's taken very well to married life and is now the proud father of 4 children, including his own set of triplets.
  • Langston (Stone) Richards: Oldest of the Richards triplets, and by far the most level headed. Stone was the quietest of the boys, and the nerdiest too, not only because he was the only one to need glasses. Stone loved school and enjoyed studying, so much so that he went on to earn his Masters and would have gone on to get his PhD if he and his husband hadn't decided to rescue an orphaned, almost feral 12 year old with Aspergers from an ill-understood life as a prisoner in a depressing hospital. The normal life his son went on to life turned out to be Stone's proudest achievement, and so he adopted another boy from the same hospital, who, among being Autistic and non-verbal upon the date of his adoption as well as other undiagnosed health issues, is both challenging and expanding Stone's best parenting abilities.
  • Remington (Remi) Richards: Remi was always the one getting into his mother's closet and stealing her high heels for dress-up games with the neighborhood girls. Being the middle triplet, Remi has tried very hard throughout his life to set himself apart from his brothers. With a flair for the dramatic and a quick wit, many people take a love-him-or-hate-him stance, but nonetheless Remi has many friends, though he lacks a serious romantic relationship. His early games of dress-up blossomed into a passion for fashion and he has recently debuted the first collection of his new line of women's couture.
  • Dmitri Janus: Mid thirties. The child of Greek immigrants and a distant father, Dmitri learned early on that his best method of communication was through a piano, and that has largely remained unchanged. Quiet and withdrawn, Dmitri has few friends, although those who are close to him know that his surface belies the passionate man inside. English is not his first language, and though he speaks quite fluently he uses that as an excuse to keep his friends at arms length and not really discuss his personal issues. He lives modestly, spending a good chunk of his pay on expensive vodkas, but he would trade none of it for the world: it's not a great living, but his job as the jazz pianist at a sleepy midtown bar is his greatest joy. Due to the bar's questionable clientele and his almost total lack of upward ambition, he has yet to be truly recognized nor compensated for his amazing talent, but Dmitri doesn't mind much: from his point of view, he gets paid to drink every night and play his music, and whether or not anyone is listening is not his concern, so that is quite enough for him.
  • Holland: Late twenties, approximately. A withdrawn fellow, he distrusts other people and as a general rule doesn't enjoy company much anyway, so little is really known about him or his past. When one IS able to get him talking, the only topic available for conversation is about his passion: horticulture. He makes a living for himself as a gardener and lends his talents as a skilled and well-renowned caregiver for exotic flowers and plants. In his private collection, he has some rare orchids that he tends to like children, and an extensive and beautiful array of Bonsai. He doesn't associate with people much, but tries to be courteous to his clients and can be seen at the local bars and coffee shops once in a while, usually reading a book. Its rumored that he's taken a lover, a young man employed at a 5-star gentleman's club, but this has yet to be officially confirmed.

The Girls -

  • Elise: Early 20's. Considering that she is tall, thin, blonde, pretty, smart, funny, and talented, one would imagine that the next applicable adjective would be "popular", but that is not the case. The daughter of wealthy Silicon Valley tycoons and brought up in the same splendor and glamor as every other spoiled rich girl in the greater Los Angeles area, Elise is blessed with the gift of a deeply set hatred of conformity and vanity. Thus, she has made it her life's mission to not become every girl she went to high school with. An accomplished cellist and proud theater techie, she loves getting her hands dirty and throwing herself, mind and body, into projects. She's easy to like and friends, but chooses to surround herself with people who are not afraid to be individuals - often, to the dismay of her parents. At the moment, she is seeing a budding musician whom she met running the lights at a community theater show; she is sure that her parents would like him as much as she, if they could only see past his large tattoos...
