- split the entire fic into chunks, tackle one every 1-2 days
- use placeholders like [____] for research, a specific word, descriptions, dialogue, etc.
- use OneLook!!! it's so helpful for words.
- keep a running doc for fragments, deleted ideas, possible titles, and plotbunnies, inspo
- read from the writer's perspective. how does the author structure their sentences? how do they induce the intended effect? and so on and so forth. you don't have to do this 24/7 haha but analyzing why a line is eye-catching is fun
- there are ao3 skins out there that hide your fic statistics. use them and bask in the bliss of ignorance. it's good for ur mental health
NEW! have a constant rotation of 4+ WIPS to work on, so much that you get utterly paralyzed at the thought of trying to get it all done!!!
