Poppy is the main protagonist of the Poppy series. She is innocent, impressionable and high-spirited, always seeing the good in people and is easily pleased.

She is the accidental child of her mother and her then lover, hence bearing no physical resemblance to Darius.

Her father Darius is a hero in her eyes. She is too young to understand the complications in her parents' separation and still has not truly come to terms with her mother's departure. She finds joy in the company of others and Darius is afraid of leaving her alone, hence the need for a babysitter.

Unlike Darius, Poppy's childlike nature leads her to believe the best in people and she does not view Yoshiro as a threat, but has an instant liking towards him. Her lack of tact can put Yoshiro in awkward encounters, though she is oblivious to them and is having fun anyway. Until she sees her crush sitting with another girl lol.
