This is stuff that I have either used, or have tried and tested it to be true for my own skin type: combination. Generally, clear skin that gets oily throughout the day in the summer.

Skincare: Besides putting all that skincare on, DO HYDRATE: water is life okay, and eat a healthy diet. At least try to get your vegetables in. As long you eat your vegetables, your acne decreases. Of course, avoid whatever your body can't cope well with too: dairy/etc.

Caudalie:

  • Beauty Elixir
  • Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
  • Vinoperfect Brightening Gycolic Essence
  • Vinoperfect Moisturizing Sorbet: good light moisturizer with an interesting texture - won't clog

Fresh:

  • Soy Face cleanser (ultra gentle-soft on the skin and cleans all)
  • Black Tea Kombucha Antioxidant Essence - preventive measures: anti-pollution/aging - not so sure about this but if anything, not entirely for aging but good for those before 30. I would say start around 25-27 years to start.

Makeup remover: I know that Shu Uemura makes wonderful cleansing oils but honestly, if you just get an equally Japanese brand such as those from Kose, and much much cheaper, it works just as well.

  • Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil: Get a bottle and their refill packages and you're good to go.

>> Preferred choice of cleansing: Oil > Cleansing Milk > Facial Wash

I avoid cleansing tissues because they can be harsh on the skin if used too often, and please do try to stay away from alcohol...

Usual cleaning method: 1-3 times.

If: worn sunscreen -2x - cleansing oil - facial wash If worn makeup - 3x. - Cleansing water + cotton pad, cleansing oil - cleaning milk/facial foam wash

The Face Shop has some nice cleansing creams. Feels nice and gentle on the skin but I would follow up with a gentle facial wash after. Slight residue feeling on skin.

Good for sensitive skin: Origins Mushroom Mega-Mushroom relief line

  • calms/soothens

- add that extra aloe stuff if needed. I get sensitive skin when lacking sleep, or if the environment changes - like when the air becomes too dirty/polluted

Acne: Try the stuff from The Body Shop. Their Tea tree line is nice.

Edit: My preference for skincare is really just the basics. I don't like skincare that feels too sticky on the skin, or if it feels really heavy on the skin. I like things that get absorbed and get the job done. I'll settle for thicker consistencies for creams when thther turns dry and cold, but other than that. No thank you.

Do: Exfoliate once to twice at least, per twice a week. Get a clay mask once/week in the summer and once at least per two weeks or a month in cooler months. I recommend getting all the gunk and sebum out of the skin through extraction before using a clay mask - helps reduce redness after.

Types of routines:

- Skin method - toner: skin 3-7x (option: add a light lotion after) - Normal: Toner/Skin - serum (or skipped if busy) - lotion/cream/moisturizer

- Tired skin: Toner/Skin - face mask - (if really tired: add shot of serum (optional) - lotion/cream/moisturizer
