• i had multiple canons as clara.
• in all of them i was mentally ill. i was also bi.
• in all of them i had a positive relationship with my parents, especially my mum who i loved more than anything else.
• i think my mum might've had some run in with the extraterrestrial at some point in her life, but i'm not 100% certain about that, it's just a gut feeling
• i had my first girlfriend in secondary school. she'd been my best friend, and we were very close. i introduced her to my family and they were very accepting.
• after my mum died we broke up, mostly because i isolated myself, but also in part because we were just kids who didn't really know what to do in a relationship when tragedies happened.
• in university i studied english literature. i hated computers and told my roommate that i wouldn't use one for my degree, and because i was so stubborn i refused to go back on my word. that definitely made an already stressful few years more difficult.
• i'd always planned to go into teaching, but i desperately wanted to travel first... i guess i kind of got my wish?

canon one:

• i travelled with missy instead of the doctor.
• she saved me from some alien threat (which, to be honest, she probably planted in the first place) & made me think she was some kind of great hero.
• she painted the doctor as an awful person & made me think he was evil.
• we travelled together for quite a while, until we ended up on trenzalore with the doctor.
• long story short, i found out that missy had been lying, the doctor was being erased from time, missy was panicking because that was not what her plan had been, and i jumped into the doctor's time stream to fix their mess.
• i assume i wasn't saved because i don't have any memories after that.

canon two:

• this one is technically canon?
• canon to the four doctors comic, anyway.
• shenanigans happened, which caused the doctor to turn me away after i betrayed him after danny's death.
• more shenanigans happened. unit, danny and i defeated missy. danny still sacrificed himself.
• i worked with unit for a while, however after the incident with the zygons i decided that i wasn't really cut out for that and would prefer to be a teacher.
• i returned to coal hill (teachers come and go so frequently there, it wasn't hard to get a job there again).
• some of the events of class happened, but they were quite different due to my influence. i'm also not really sure how charlie and miss quill got to earth without the doctor.
• miss quill and i had a love-hate relationship. i liked who she was as a person and felt for her history, but hated the way she taught and treated her students.

canon three:

• the main show canon!
• eleven and i travelled together for about a year before the trenzalore incident happened.
• i stayed on the tardis for well over a month after trenzalore, because i was really not well. the doctor helped me recover, but it took a long time and even a long time after it i was still effected by it.
• i may have had ptsd, but as i was never able to see anyone i never got anything diagnosed. (i mean honestly, how could i just say 'yo i got split into a million pieces and remember the lives & deaths of all of these people who are me but aren't me' to a therapist? at the very least i wouldve been misdiagnosed)
• eleven and i travelled together for at least another year after the trenzalore incident.
• season 8 happened over the course of around two years. i was together with danny for around a year and a half.

there were a few months between death in heaven and last christmas. it was not a fun time.

• for me and twelve, season 9 took place over 3-5 years. for the earth it was probably closer to 1 year. i spent a lot of time just staying on the tardis for long periods, because i didn't feel as if i really had much tying me down to earth.
• i had nightmares frequently and would refuse to sleep because of it. i'd insist that twelve take me somewhere exciting so i wouldn't have to sleep— although, obviously, i didn't tell him that. i think he worked it out anyway, but he never confronted me about that specifically.
• one time twelve took me to see this meteor shower on some planet with a long, unpronounceable-by-humans name. it was the most beautiful thing i'd ever seen. something in the atmosphere caused the tails of the comets to go multicoloured, like shooting rainbows. twelve explained how that happened, but i wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying, and ended up falling asleep resting on him. it was the first good rest i'd gotten in months.
• of course, as is typical when travelling with the doctor, i was rudely awoken by armed guards. turned out we were trespassing on royal land. we were shoved in a cell in the palace. it all turned out fine after i flirted with a princess though. (not even as a ploy to get us out she was just, really sweet)
• after i stopped travelling with the doctor i got into a lot of hijinks with me and a few others. people that we travelled with included:
• merry gejelh (she was older, and juggled travelling with her duties), psi and saibra (they were close, although i don't know if that was romantic or platonic), oswin (it's a long story, but her consciousness was downloaded onto a mechanical thing psi and me made), jasmine (a teenager who i found out was the adopted daughter of winnie. she really wasnt happy when she found out where her daughter had been...).
