(24/101) --> What I've completed thus far, with notes. =)
- Go to a farmer's market
- In Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. We bought some really delicious pies!
- Go to a party
- The first weekend I was on campus! Lol.
- Choose a second major
- Latin American & Caribbean Studies
- Also decided French will probably be my minor
- Befriend a professor
- Dr. Q technically befriended ME over the summer, but now it's a lot more real since we've actually met! He is one of the nicest people I know.
- Go on a picnic
- With Sarah (my sister) at the beach...it was great expect much too windy for eating outdoors.
- Buy fish with Morgan
- We have two beta fish named Sebastian and Flounder! (Yes, we know that Sebastian is technically a crab in the Little Mermaid but we're not supposed to have crabs in our dorm...)
- Visit with Mrs. Whitney
- This actually happened TWICE before I left for college, and both times, seeing her was amazing. She has the biggest heart and I love her so much.
- Organize all digital photos
- This was definitely an ongoing process, until one day I was looking through iPhoto and realized- HEY! I'M DONE!
- Meet Dr. Quesada
- Sigh...I put this on the list even though I knew it would be super-easy for me to accomplish. Nevertheless I made sure it happened asap after I got on campus, and we're meeting again this week!
- Visit with Clara
- Finally got to reunite with my oldest friend! I wish we'd had more time to spend together but the day and a half we had was still amazing.
- Make a new friend
- I'm not sure exactly when I crossed this off, because I've made quite a few new friends in college.
- Keep a dream journal
- I did this over the summer for a few weeks, and it was really fun. I don't seem to be remembering many of my dreams anymore, though.
- Learn basic yoga
- Went to my first ever yoga class with a friend last week and I definitely am starting to get the basics down. I love it.
- Go to a show in Athens, GA
- Went to a show that was part of PopFest last Friday...saw some great local bands.
- I need to make this a HABIT (live music)!!
- Learn to love the independence that comes with being single.
- It's all really been sinking in these past few days.
- Get my nose pierced.
- FINALLY. Got it done at Pain and Wonder in Athens and so happy with the way it turned out.
- Stop using artificial sweetener.
- Pretty easy, but I am still tempted to put Splenda in my coffee or tea from time to time.
- Go to a really nice vintage and/or thrift store.
- Minx in downtown Athens CERTAINLY falls under this category. They have an unbelievable selection, fair prices, and gorgeous things for sale. I got a beautiful suede/leather jacket for $18!
- Go to a new art gallery or museum
- Went to an art show at the UGA Lamar Dodd School of Art. It was SO cool. Also went upstairs and looked at the different galleries of student work.
- Kiss someone new
- Went on a blind date with a great guy, made out on his bed while watching a movie. That's pretty much it :)
- Bake a pie from scratch
- I made an apple pie for Christmas, and my family raved about it- completely from scratch, my own crust and everything. It was pretty easy, and I'm planning on making a few more in the next month or so.
- Make reading the newspaper (digitally or in print) a daily habit
- Since I got my Kindle, I've been reading the NYT every single day, as it gets delivered to me each morning. My free trial ends February 25th, but I think I'm going to fork over the $20 so I can keep reading it :)
- Get a job
- Part-time sales associate at Mind Body Sole- an excellent shoe company dedicated to health, fitness, wellness, and community service! :)
- See a play
- Saw Phaedra at my boyfriend's school. It was actually a staged reading, and it was quite good.
