• Absolutely nothing in life is certain. There are no guarantees, and the best thing you've got could vanish in an instant, accidentally or deliberately.
  • Most people generally have good intentions and are not out to get you or make you miserable.
  • Material possessions/money are not sufficient replacements for human beings. Do not sacrifice relationships for more "stuff."
  • Everyone needs to be reminded that they are loved sometimes. Don't take the people you care about for granted. They won't be around forever, and neither will you.
  • Shit happens, and you have to keep fighting and move on.
  • You always hurt the ones you love. And they probably hurt you too.
  • The people who are meant to be in your life tend to stay there. Even if months go by and you don't converse once, they will be there eventually, and you will pick up right where you left off.
  • If you lie to yourself often enough, and with enough conviction, it can be difficult to determine what is fact and what is fiction.
  • Condoms are really important- for peace of mind and the elimination of weeks of worrying, if nothing else.
  • It takes two to argue, to break up, and to make love. Don't blame yourself for everything that goes wrong, but don't place all the blame on the other person either.
  • Sometimes it's easier to just ignore whatever is causing you pain. One day you will think of it again and it won't hurt nearly as much.
  • That being said, time really does heal all.
  • Solitude is underrated and most people need to learn to appreciate it more.
  • People are extremely adaptable and (I believe) can adjust to almost any situation.
  • Sleep is more important than lots of things.
  • It's okay to make mistakes. Just don't be afraid to correct them.
  • You shouldn't sacrifice your happiness for other people's happiness. It's important to be sensitive and compassionate, but it's also important (and okay!) to put yourself first and do what you need to do.
  • Happiness is entirely subjective.
