At some point or another in your life, you are going to have to settle with second best.

• And I'm not talking just about relationships.
• I'm talking about anything and everything.

Everything happens for a reason.

• My mother's favorite saying, which I refuse to believe 98% of the time.
  • But she has a point.

School is a game.

• After elementary school, the system stops being about cultivating young minds.
• Classes become wastes of time and resources if the students don't want to be there.
• You are expected to work how the teacher wants you to do, get the grade, and leave.
• And there is not enough music education to give the world any chance of sanity.

Very few people are happy.

• People expect money to solve their problems.
  • It doesn't work.
• Greed, hate, and ignorance are what stains the face of this nation, and other nations.
• When someone is truly happy, it is beautifully contagious.

People don't give wonderful things enough credit. Example: Things people frequently ignore that, if they took time to appreciate, would make their life so much better:

• bunnies
• flowers
• rainbows
• whistling
• summer breezes
• swimming pools
• snowflakes
• holidays
• fresh fruit
• hot coffee
• sleeping in

Love heals all.

• And there are always more people who love you than you account for/choose to admit.
