What are your reasons?

Are you praying for others, including your enemies? Are you selfish and only pray for yourself? Are you asking for a reprieve of your sins so you may continue doing them? Is it a joke you make in front of friends? Do you only pray when it suits your needs? Are you afraid that if you don't, people won't think kindly of you?
