SUMMER REUNION

• ducky - headfirst; not into the vocals unfortunately
• lvther - some kind of magic; i didnt dislike it but listening to it was like. trying to access something inaccessible to me. a certain feeling of being unable to connect.
• flor - heart; didn't really stand out too much...
• femm - falling for a lullaby; oddly in high school i used to be vaguely fascinated by femm lol. i was never into their vocals but this song was pretty cute
• chela - heart o' hearts - i liked the intro/instrumentals a lot but not the way the voice is mixed. the video was sooo cute tho lol ...
• myzica - we belong together; *taylor swift playing in my head* i also like the instrumentals for this but not so much the vocals
• misterwives - our own house; i know this is like the typical sick/soft sounding indie voice but i can't help but like it hahahaha. i also like how it can vary in dynamic across the song~ versatility good. i LOVE the brass that comes in at the chorus i just wish there was more actually?! and brighter sounding ... the guitar riff is really nice too! maybe my fav in this playlist
• gavin turek - whitney; funky. the voice is just a liiiiittle overproduced i think... overall not bad tho
• seoulmoon - coconut love; very cute!!! very groovy!!! particularly like that slightly echo-y electric guitar(?) plucking noise during the chorus
• kisum - 2 beers; i know this song hehe ... kisum is cute. i like her collab with hyolyn (fruity) the most tho tbh
• fla.mingo - u melt me; i dont like the way that they filtered the vocal sample x _x
• slime girls - summer is gone...again; didnt slime girls do something shady a while back lol. song is cute tho

FLEETING FEELINGS

• lostboycrow - traveler; actually this guys vocals are fine but the instrumentals ... the noises and also the underlying voice layer were SO WEIRD in the verses. not into the electronic music break. overall i do like it tho
• elohim - bridge and the wall; i like the inst on this a lot ... wish the lyrics were a bit More
• verite - when you're gone; i feel like the overall rhythm of this song is driving my heart rate up. i like the vocals and the song but (feels like i just drank coffee)
• define light - transit; not memorable but not bad either...
• reaken - andromeda; it's fine to listen to (similar to ^) but yeah ... forgettable ...
• animal hack - (500) days of innocence; i like the instrumentals but i can't stand the vocals!
• tamame - ebb and flow; osu ............. anyway i like this song
• exes - twentythousand; weird noise. kind of ... too slow? easily forgettable song. i really like that (boop boop boop) sample at 2:25 lol
• trace - low; just like. meh. vocals are fine but the song is a bit boring
• mura masa - what if i go?; i like this one i think. like the syncopated/bouncy verses; solid vocals; varied inst
• khai - do you go up; these lyrics are making me cringe. it's okay i guess

• porter robinson - fellow feeling (chet porter); i reaaally like the both the og & the slumberjack rmx thats in the worlds rmx album. this one is cute too ... a little repetitive
• galantis - runaway (u&i) (chet porter); i don't really like the og song ... remix is fine but not enough to make me like the song itself ...

• snail's house - snowdrift; reminds me of snowpoint city lol. i like the slow buildup, like the layering of instruments to a climax and then the gradual deconstruction

WANDERING THROUGH LIGHTS

• aaron static - severance; overall mood is pretty good. the echo-ey bell tones through 3:30 are making my heart rate go up i think
• obi - valhalla; i like instruments that go ding ding ding. i really like the drops in this one!
• vallis alps - young; reminds me of this one artist that always got put into osu songs that i never rly remembered well
• lowself - lotus hills; mood good but not a fan of the voice sample
• bonobo - ten tigers; pretty good vibes. i completely missed the song passing by the first time though and had to replay it
• we are all astronauts - ether; too slow... 2min synth buildup... that's like a whole song already
• chrome sparks - rocket; had to go back and relisten. this one is like ... hmm ... not enough melodic structure i think

• the thing about these lyricless songs is that they're fine to listen to but after hearing them i don't remember listening to them hahaha

• milktea - mr chocolate & miss orange; cuteeee!! but not very memorable??
• f(x) - paper heart; (waxes poetic about how much i love f(x) and the red light album) this is just like??? a good&nice song to listen to.
• f(x) - beautiful stranger; this is actually one of my least favorite f(x) songs LOOOL i like almost every song on pink tape ... but not this one. i think cuz it gives me middle school flashback but not in a good way vibes
• davichi - 8282; feels too ballad-y at the start T _T; i usually only like these kinds of driving beat kpop songs if i already like the group
• 8eight - close that lip; no men allowed
• after school - shampoo; its not that im too young for after school really, but i got into kpop after they became inactive... so most of my after school exposure is from seungkwan being a fanboy LOL. this song is ok i guess. cute
• girl's day - don't forget me; ngl i actually really like girl's day more "mature"(?) stuff. this is cute but like. yeah. somehow all the songs from this era blur together if i don't like the group itself
• trouble maker - trouble maker; I LOOOOOVE HYUNA SO MUCH i was obsessed with this song for a while in college actually. i always think about how the whistle tune sounds like this one song from pikmin though
• younha - the real reason why we broke up; younha songs actually tend to be too ballad-y for me even though i like her voice ... my fav from her is actually her collab with groovyroom called parade!! love upbeat stuff
• younha - title run; oh this is cute!! gives me a little bit of anime opening vibes ngl
• yeseo - what is a yeogic flying?; i thought the song itself was good but i was a little offput by the repeating line
• cifika - intelligentsia; cifika's aesthetic is seriously always so captivating... i wasn't so into this song specifically but i do like her

FLICKERING RESOLVE

• paranoid void - karma no inu; i had to google to make sure it was math rock ... i like the aesthetics of math rock and damn the guitar riffs sure are fucking cool but 1. isn't this just like, improv jazz, but with guitars? 2. tends not to be as memorable for me because they're mostly instrumental, and the changing time signatures make it hard for me to repeat the melodies back in my head
• ai kamano - alter; very cool sounding but like. too much [here's your brain crawling up from the ocean to stare you down] feeling
• haru nemuri - haru to shura; (thonking) vocals nice but not so into the inst/this kind of static-y electric guitar sound, and the sped-up section in the middle is like ah ... not so easy listening
• fresco - viewtiful (rmx); hmm ... vibes nice but that downbeat noise is a bit jarring... also not big on the vocal effect. also dhfdghjdhgdj that drop into noise percussion was a lot. the portion immediately after that sounds like a bill wurtz song, a little
• covet - sea dragon; oh this is the one guitarist that celena linked me the other day. i think i am falling asleep but i like the song
• tk - shinkiro; man i really dont like tk's voice at all ...
• passcode - ray; i like the little 8bit riff but the autotune feels a bit heavy and AND ive never been into screamo or rock guitar in general wwww song is ok i guess
• mylk - dream catcher (rmx); space-y ... pretty cute, voice a little bit annoying? song nice
• for bdk - open ones eyes; what is the lyric. "this truck won't take us far?" truck? song is ok. not too memorable. a bit too forcefully edgy
• porter robinson - sad machine (rmx); the thing abt rmxs is that u can't help but compare to the og right? also one of the drumbeats at the beginning reminds me of the promare ost. hmm. i'd prob just rather listen to og. and also the promare ost.

CASSETTE

• toshiki kadomatsu - i can't stop the night; ok actually the thing about this genre is while i like to listen to the songs very few of them leave like actual impressions on me ... i don't think i'll have much to say about this playlist other than "nice vibes!"

• naniwa express - inside of you; particularly liked the solos in this one
• brand express - nuclear burn; this song is too long
• also reiterating some of my inability to focus on things without enough instrumentation (the chick corea song), not enough melodic structure, instrumental-only songs. overall tho yeah the vibes were quite nice

HI-POP

• re: hyperpop; i have a certain fascination with it, but i tend not to listen to it casually. there tends to be a lot of repetition of short phrases, or overmixing of vocals that turns me away from it
• dylan brady - 7/11 drone; dont like the vocal sample or vocal mixing or the synth texture. also the model in the video is freaky as shit llmfaooooo
• slayyyter - bff; one of those songs i can't avert my eyes from even though i don't actually like it that much
• dorian electra - flamboyant; dont like the voice ...
• charli xcx - vroom vroom; this song is funny but would not just listen to it lol
• danny l harle - me4u; oh interesting. i really like the inst for this and the vibraphone-esque sound. meh on the lyrics/vocals lol
• jackie extreme - bizarre love triangle; a. i actually really like the inst for this LOL. but the vocals ... a bit too much ...
